Laos to address key MRC concerns over Pak Lai dam
VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – The government has made a commitment to take the key recommendations of Mekong River Commission (MRC) members and relevant stakeholders into account when designing and building the Pak Lai hydropower project, according to a senior official.
Speaking at a session in Vientiane to mark the end of the Prior Consultation Process of the Pak Lai dam project last week, Lao government representative Mr Chanthanet Boualapha said the government and the project developer had carefully reviewed the key findings and recommendations of all MRC countries.
